IACES work is mainly LC-orientated, so most financial transactions take
place at LC-level. A survey about IACES' general finances - the "IACES-money"
- should however be given. Global-IACES has three main sources of money: International Activity Fee (IAF) For all international activities organized by a Local Committee, participants
must pay a fee. This fee is fixed and levered in the responisibility of
the LC organizing the activity as part of the participation fee raised.
Currently the IAF is set to 10 Euro per participant, however, just
as the participation fee, there is a division into three goups:

A-Countries (100% IAF) |
B-Countries (75% IAF)

A country is assigned to one of the groups according to the GDP per capita in
that country using sources Worldbank, International Monetary Fund and United Nations.
- Group A: GDP per capita > $ 20.000
- Group B: $ 5.000 < GDP per capita < $ 20.000
- Group C: GDP per capita < $ 5.000
As I am asked again and again to which bank account the IAF has to be
payed, I will state the official IACES bank account here:
Postbank N.V.
6800 XP Arnhem
Account number 8033683
Swift code: ING BNL 2A
Hopefully this will answer most questions concerning the IAF (...and speed
up the payment).
Subsidies
International programmes or funds like ERASMUS or TEMPUS support IACES.
The use of these subsidies is often limited to certain specified projects
within a predefined period. In the last two years IACES has successfully
applied for the EU-Grant 3029. We hope that this will continue in the future
as it gives IACES a sound financial basis.
Donations
IACES Local Committees, Companies, universities, or interested individuals
support IACES internationally or its specific projects with donations.
The acquired Global-IACES-money is managed by the General Board (GB).
It must be spent according to the conditions it was given, according to
decisions taken by the General Assembly of Representatives (GAR) or the
General Board itself. Money affairs and transactions are controlled by
the Account Verifying Committee (AVC). Main destinations of the money are:
The Coordination Center (e.g. to support the production of the IACES
Newsletter and other publications and to maintain the network).
Local Committees (to support international projects like Link or activities
like ACCESS, summerCourses etc.)
The General Board (to finance part of its travelling and communication
expenses).
