1. Language
The official language of communication is English.
2. LC Activity Criteria
- Every LC should organise at least one activity each year.
- Every LC organizing a course should send a technical article to the CC to be published in the Newsletter.
- Every LC must publish at least one article (technical or other) in the Newsletter each year.
- Every LC must fill in and return the
LC Status Report by January 31st each year. The
LC Status Report is public.
- Every LC must fill in and return the Link Report by April 15th each year. The Link Report is public.
3. CP Activity Criteria
- A CP should try to set up an LC.
- Every CP asking for LC status must fill in and return the Status Report.
4. ACCESS
- ACCESS is the Academic Congres of Civil Engineering StudentS, organised every financial year.
- During ACCESS, the GAR assembles.
5. Agenda of the GAR
The agenda of the GAR must at least have these items:
- Opening of the Assembly.
- Approval of the quorum and the agenda of the GAR.
- Selection of two persons checking the minutes and counting the votes.
...
- Others.
- Closing of the GAR.
6. Additional GAR Agenda points for ACCESS
- Activity Report of the GB.
- Adopting the Activity Report of the GB.
- Financial Report of the GB.
- Report of the AVC.
- Adopting the Financial Report of the GB.
- Report of the CC.
- Election of the LC hosting the CC.
- Election of the new GB.
- Election of the new AVC.
- Determination of the IAF.
- Election of an LC organizing ACCESS of the following year.
7. GB
- The GB meets at least three times a year.
- The GB is responsible for sending the LC Status Report Form to every LC by December 1st each year.
- The GB is responsible for sending the Link Report Form to every LC by February 15th each year.
8. AVC
For purposes as stated in clauses 11 and 13 of the Statutes,
the financial report and books must be sent to the AVC at least two weeks
before the GAR assembles, if this GAR takes place during ACCESS or involves
the adoption of a financial report in any way.
9. CC
In addition to clause 12 of the Statutes, the CC is responsible for at least the following tasks:
- Time co-ordination of international IACES activities
- Keeping the list of LC's and CP's up to date
- Keeping the general homepage and calendar of activities up to date
- Production and issuing of promotion material such as posters and brochures
- Production and issuing of the Newsletter (at least one issue per two months)
- Coordination of the production and issuing of the Yearbook (the production and issuing can be delegated to another LC).
10. Participation Fees
- Participants in an IACES activity may have to pay a Participation Fee (PF) to the organizing LC.
- The countries participating in IACES are divided in three categories A, B and C.
A country is assigned to one of the groups according to the GDP per capita in that country using United Nations
figures ("Indicators on income and economic activity" from the
Statistics Division of the United Nations Secretariat and International Labour Office).
- Group A: GDP per capita > $ 20.000
- Group B: $ 5.000 < GDP per capita < $ 20.000
- Group C: GDP per capita < $ 5.000
- A category countries pay 100% of the activity Participation Fee, B category 75% and C category 50%.
- The Participation Fee for MTM, ACCESS and technical courses must not exceed 100 Euros.
- Alumni are divided according to the country they work in. They pay 20% more than students from that country (that is: 120% / 90% / 60% of the PF).
11. International Activity Fee
- LCs organizing any international IACES activity pay IACES an International Activity Fee (IAF) per participant.
- The IAF is divided in three categories using the division mentioned in clausule 10.
- The amount of the IAF is fixed by the GAR for the upcoming financial year.
- The IAF must be paid the latest two months after the end of the activity.
